John Quinn
EUSD State Trustee
John’s career in education spans 43 years, having served in San Francisco Unified School District as a teacher and counselor, assistant principal, and Principal of Galileo Academy of Science and Technology (1985-1996). In 1996 he became Associate Superintendent of SFUSD high schools and served in this leadership role through 2002. He subsequently headed the district’s Office of Equity Assurance and Charter Schools prior to becoming State Administrator for Emery Unified School District with the responsibility of leading this district in its transition from state to local control.
John currently serves as State Trustee for the Emery Unified School District, as Superintendent of the Montgomery Elementary School District in Cazadero, CA, and as board member of the Emery Education Fund and the San Francisco Coalition of Essential Small Schools.
