John Flores
Retired City Manager
John Flores has 30 years of administrative and managerial experience in municipal government serving 19 years as City Manager of the City of Emeryville. In that capacity, John was instrumental in the redevelopment of the City and in helping build strong relationships between the City and the Emery Unified School District.
John was one of the Founding Members of the Emery Education Fund, and he continues to play an important part in that organization. John was previously with the City of Oakland for 11 years, serving in increasingly responsible administrative roles leading to the position of Deputy City Manager.
John has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University and an undergraduate degree in Social Science from San Jose State University.
