Diaspora Club

The Diaspora Club is a club with a global vision. Their philosophy, “empowering youth through active stewardship” fuels their commitment to foster positive change. The program includes an annual trip to Ghana West Africa where students focus on impacting the quality of life there, while working on the cutting edge of scientific research.  Emery students partner with high school students in Ghana to take energy measurements and reduce refrigerator energy use with energy saving repairs, in collaboration with the Energy Efficiency Standards Group of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
